  Located just east of Rhinelander, this Premier Resort area offers some great adult or family friendly winter fun. Grab your ice fishing gear and head out to one of our many area lakes (Lake George, Lake Thompson or any of the 300+ lakes in the are) to unwind while the children ice skating on the lake.

Enjoy our many area cross-country ski trails such as CAVOC trails where they also offer fat tire biking or try another nice trail system called Holiday Trails located at Old Farm Trails and Long Lake Trails. About 40 minutes from the Rhinelander area is another great trail system called Winter Park.

Go downhill skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing at Camp 10 and Snowboard located 1/2 hour away. Grab your friends and family and head to the local hills for sledding or snow tubing.

Or enjoy gliding around with the whole family on an outdooor rink. Rent some snowshoes, it is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and is easy to learn and is  also a great workout.

  Located just east of Rhinelander, resort area offers some of the finest Wisconsin snowmobile lodging, dining, and pit stops right on the Hodag Sno-Trails. Choose any one of our unique Rhinelander snowmobile lodge establishments. Park your trailer, drop your snowmobile and ride over hundreds of scenic groomed trails right from your door. Our location in the Northwoods of Wisconsin is an excellent vacation destination any time of year. We also have many miles of groomed ski trails for beginning and advanced cross country skiers. Ski rentals and maps are available at most of the four season resorts. Many of our resorts and lodges are near the Rhinelander ATV trails for the avid ATV enthusiast.

  Hodag Sno-Trails - Rhinelander’s original snowmobile club - has built and maintains over 120 miles of scenic, adventurous trails. The "Hodags" own and operate two diesel powered 1800 LMC groomers and two John Deere tractors to keep the trails around Rhinelander unbelievably smooth.

These groomed trails link Rhinelander, the "hub" of the snowmobiling, with the following areas; Lake Tomahawk, Minocqua, St. Germain, Eagle River, Three Lakes, Crandon,
and Pelican Lake to Antigo.

  Many of our resorts are open for the winter and offer lodging for the snowmobiling season. See the map of resorts 'On the Trail' for details.
 
Trail Passes are required for all out of state snowmobiles
.  On the weekend passes may be obtainedat Shoeder's RV Marine and Sport Center located on Highway 17 North Call 715-362-3535 for winter business hours. Weekdays passes may be obtained from the DNR office located at 107 Sutliff Ave. Call 715-365-8900 for office hours.
