AVT Trails: Roads are connected to trails.from all of our resorts.
Geocaching: The Rhinelander area has over 400 geocaches located within a 15 mile radius, so take the family and experience the fun and excitement of geocaching in the Rhinelander area. Attractions and Amusements:
Camp 10 Ski n Snowboard: Open early December - Mid March. Call for ski hours. Camp 10 Ski n Ski boards has it all: 11 runs, chair lift, two T-Bar lifts, beginner tow, ski and snowboard rentals, night skiing and boarding, ski, snowboarding, and telemark skiing, ski school lessons. Elmer's Fun Park: Elmer's Fun Park has something fun for the whole family. The park features wet & wild bumper boats, three exciting tracks of go-kart racing, and saddle horses to take you on scenic river trail rides. Open May-September, call for hours.  More info.

Hodag Farmer's Market: Running since 1995, the Hodag Farmersí Market is a local food market. All goods sold are produced locally by the person selling them. Open every Saturday from early June until mid October. 8 am to noon. Call 715-362-5930 for more information.

Hodag Water Shows: Visit Hodag Water Shows and watch thrilling choreographed water-skiing acts. Hodag Water Shows are performed every Wednesday and Sunday nights at 7:30 PM at Hodag Park on Boom Lake in Rhinelander. Admission is free and concessions are available. Call 715-362-0625

Lumberjack Shows: Located in Woodruff. Share the Experience! Music Concerts: Located outside the Riverwalk Centre along the Wisconsin River in Rhinelander. Performances in the band shelter. Thursday evenings, June through August 7:00 - 8:30 PM.
Tommy O's Northernstars Playhouse: Located 10 miles south of Minocqua on Hwy. 51 in Hazelhurst. The Playhouse is an indoor theater presenting entertaining musicals, side-splitting comedies and much more. Rhinelander's Ice Association: Open Skate times is for the public and all RIA members and for children to learn to play hockey or skate. There will be no sticks or pucks. The Rhinelander Ice Association is a non-profit, all-volunteer organization dedicated to improving and expanding hockey and figure skating in the Rhinelander area. More info.

St. Germain Firefighters Assoc. Flea market and Craft Show: Open Rain or Shine! Open every Monday from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Giant Covered Pavilion with lots of Vendors. Average of 430 Vendors each week. Food Concessions by the St. Germain Lioness Club and Various food wagons. Free admission. Lots of Free Parking. Hours 8:00 am to 3:00 pm. Waswagoning: Built on 20 acres along the shore of beautiful Moving Cloud Lake on the Lac du Flambeau Indian Reservation, Was-Swa-Goning was the Ojibwe name of our whole area. The French name of our whole area. The French fur traders called it Lac du Flambeau (Lake of Fire) when they saw the torches on the lakes as the Ojibwe speared fish at night. A unique learning experience for the entire family. The only village of its kind in the Northwoods. More info.

George W. Brown, Jr. Ojibwe Museum & Cultural Center: Lac du Flambeau's George W. Brown, Jr. Ojibwe Museum and Cultural Center offers visitor tours, videos, and beautiful dioramas depicting the four seasons of Ojibwe life as it has been lived here for centuries. 715-588-3333.  More info.
Rhinelander Logging Museum: One of Rhinelander's main attractions with displays of century old logging memorabilia, a blacksmith shop, cook shanty and bunkhouse, narrow gauge steam engine, and much more. Bring the kids and come to the logging museum to see how the name 'lumberjack' came about. The museum is the oldest and most authentic museum in the Midwest. A great way to start your Northwood's vacation. Admission is free, however donations are welcomed. More info.
Rhinelander School Museum: The one-room school was built in the early 1900's in the Town of Newbolt. The school building has been restored so that today's children and adults can see what school was like in the rural areas years ago. More info
CCC Museum: CCC stands for Civilian Conservation Corps. The museum provides a fascinating glimpse of the CCC work camp experience by using photographs, personal memorabilia, uniforms, work tools, emblems, jewelry, papers, and an actual barracks replica. More info.
Laona Railroad Museum: Welcome to the Laona Railroad Museum and Model Railroad Layout. Come see The Depot, The Model Railroad Display, The Railroad Museum, and ride the Locomotive. These are just a few of the many attractions to see and experience at the Laona Railroad Museum. More info.
Northwoods Children Museum: The Northwoods Children's Museum located in Eagle River is a dynamic educational facility based on the idea that children learn best by doing, not viewing. Northwoods Wildlife Center: The mission of the Northwoods Wildlife center is to care for injured and orphaned wildlife. Visitors are welcome. Guided tours begin every half hour. Freewill donations are accepted. Located in Minocqua. More info.
Peck's Wildwood Wildlife Park & Nature Center: Looking for an unforgettable family adventure? Visit the one and only Northwoods zoo. Long Lake Nature Trail: For a refreshing walk in Rhinelander that will take you away from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Near Long Lake, close to Clear Lake, Lake George and Lake Thompson. More info.
Bearskin & Hiawatha State Trail: Two rail trails total 25 miles: Hiawatha Tail runs 6 miles north from Tomahawk, Bearskin Trail 18 miles from County Road K to Minocqua. More info
Bearskin State Park Trail: The Bearskin State Park Trail consists of 18 miles of abandoned railroad grade. It stretches between Minocqua and County High K in Oneida County. More info.
Washburn Lake Trail: Thanks to a variety of terrain, the Oneida County Forest trails have long been popular with cross country skiers. More info.

Full-color viewing guides with maps and descriptions of every site leads the nature traveler to warblers, shorebirds, eagles, loons, cranes and all manner of mammals found in some of the states premier wildlife venues.
